Mariam Abouhegazy is a former Egyptian football player who is passionate about marketing and sports. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Integrated Marketing Communications with a Minor in Business Administration from the American University in Cairo. Mariam chose to put that education into practice during her time working for a reputable marketing agency. During that time, she was still playing in the Egyptian Women's First Division League, where she was was the aimz team captain for five years, while also working part-time in the sports field. After grasping the art of marketing in her two years working in the industry, she decided to expand her knowledge of her other passion further. Mariam pursued a Master’s Degree in Football Business from the Johan Cruyff Institute, one of the top 15 sports universities in Europe, and graduated with the JCI Honors Degree in July 2020. While pursuing her degree in Barcelona, she interned with a football-specialized organization to learn more while applying principles she learned throughout the Masters. Through that internship and masters, she was able to gain numerous contacts in the European sports field and signed a cooperation agreement with the company she had interned with during her time in Barcelona. With both her education fields complimenting each other and through her working experience in both, Mariam hopes to utilize her knowledge in developing the female sports scene in the region and acquiring opportunities for female athletes to grow.

Samia Adam is a current Egyptian, American football player who has combined her talent for sports and her education throughout her collegiate career. While receiving her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration- with a concentration in Marketing, she also participated in a Division 1 football and track & field program at the University of the Pacific. Furthermore, she was also a participant of the Egyptian Women’s National Team and contributed to the team’s history making run at the 2016 African Cup of Nations Tournament, where the lady Pharaohs went on to win their first ever game. After graduating from Pacific, Samia applied her passion for sport and marketing, working as part of the Brand Ambassador team the San Jose Earthquakes, a professional men’s football organization in the United States- part of Major League Soccer. After working in the sporting industry, Samia decided to further her education abroad at the University of East London, earning a Master’s degree in Sports Management, while simultaneously playing in London. Her career highlight would be working alongside African Federation officials, as a Youth Program Coordinator for the 2019 Total African Cup of Nations Tournament. This event prompted her to look at football from all angles and challenged her to find a way to have the next generation emerge to one day be playing consistently at a tournament of this caliber and beyond. Samia hopes to combine her playing experience and deep understanding of the sports industry, to inspire and present the opportunity for women and girls in Egypt to pursue a career in football.
